No. SimQuota samples usage every 60 seconds using a lightweight timer — the same approach used by the iOS clock. There is no continuous background process when the app is closed; iOS background refresh handles periodic updates.
Yes. SimQuota works with any carrier on any network (4G, 5G, LTE). It includes a built-in database of 111 carriers across 35+ countries for automatic detection and roaming zone identification.
